Which connection types are required for the internet plans?

Internet Home XS, S, and M can be provided via a copper line or fiber optic, depending on the location. For copper connections, the maximum upload speed is lower than the download speed. Via fiber optic, these plans offer symmetrical download and upload bandwidths.

Internet Home L, XL, and XXL require a fiber optic connection. For this, Green utilizes networks including those of Swisscom, Salt, and local network operators. The available network and maximum speed are checked separately for each address.

With a fiber optic connection, an OTO socket is located in the apartment or house. Each OTO socket has a unique OTO ID used to identify and activate the connection. The OTO ID is usually printed on a label on the fiber optic socket and typically begins with an A or B, followed by a sequence of numbers.

How do you check and order the right internet plan?

First, check availability at your address. The check shows whether Green can provide the connection via copper or fiber optic and what speed is available at your location. If you already have a fiber optic connection, you should have the OTO ID of the fiber optic socket ready.

Next, select the available Internet Home plan and, before finalizing, review the current monthly price, any applicable minimum contract term, the activation fee, and any selected add-on options.

Check availability now and choose the right internet plan from Green.
